Weed Alert
Since the late 1990's the Department of Environment and Conservation have been recording and documenting plant species that are in the early stages of establishment of which have the potential to become a significant threat to biodiversity if they are not managed.
Those species that have been identified have been placed on the National Environmental Alert List. The List is made up of 28 non-native weeds that have established naturalized populations in the wild.
